Karen grew up in Miami before relocating to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language. After completing her undergraduate studies at USF, she returned to Miami where she earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Karen's vocational experience is diverse, having worked in orthopedic/sports medicine, geriatric and pediatric settings as well. Karen has more than a dozen years experience in pediatrics treating kids with a variety of diagnoses including Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Autism, and Developmental Delay.
