Christie Amurgis, M.A., CCC-SLP
Director / Speech-Language Pathologist
Christie is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Florida in 2002. Christie has a master level degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology degree from West Virginia University and went on to persue her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee. Christie has experience working in many settings including the public school system, hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation centers, child hearing services, behavioral learning and speech therapy center for autism, as well as, private practice and home healthcare. Her love of children brought her into the pediatric arena. As owner and director of Sunshine SPOT, she is excited to be an integral piece of such an amazing and committed group of therapists and families. Throughout her career, Christie has worked with a variety of children with a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities. She is also certified as an Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist focusing on early intervention services for children ages birth to three. Outside of work, Christie is busy raising her three children and spending time with her husband.
Bill Amurgis

Bill is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Florida in 2007. Bill has a Master’s degree in IT management from Florida Institute of Technology and several industry-recognized credentials, including the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Bill has experience consulting in both the healthcare and financial sectors and has architected information security and risk management programs for large and small organization. Outside of work, Bill is busy raising three children and spending as much time with his family and lovely wife as possible. He enjoys hockey, gaming, spending time with those closest to him and making his children laugh.
